I'm not able to use it at all for this project. I can't link all the proxies one at a time, that would take me the same two weeks it took me to sync it all. the moment I click on the link files automatically box, the spinning wheel comes on, and I have to force quit. So I unchecked the link files automatically box and did one file just to check it out. That seemed to work for a few minutes until I started getting the stagnant status bar when locating media. ![]() So as a work around I tried to drag the main files onto the timeline and delink those to the proxies from the timeline. But the upside is, all the proxies are in the same folder. When it comes to delinking the proxy files, I'd get an error that says, the audio channels are different from the original media so therefore I can't link it. No big deal because I don't mind manually selecting 23 rolls of footage. So for instance if I want to link two files, 1 is A19C001 and the other is A20C001it will link A019 if I pointed it to the folder of all A19 clips, however it will not automatically go to A20. Ive come to realize that every time it searches for a new folder it freezes and I have to direct it. The same thing happens but with a little more progress. I locate, find the file I want to re-link and do it again. ![]() I highlight the folder of clips I want to link, right click and hit link media. It says locating medi and gets stuck and freezes when the status bar has barely moved a mm. I open up premiere and try to re-link them. My grand studio failed, but luckily I had all my files backed up to my google drive. ![]() I synced all the audio and made proxy files. I can't do it manually, there are hundreds of clips. Premiere consistently crashes when I check the box for "automatically link files" when re-linking files. ![]()
